to fix, turn the AC off, recirc the air, and change to manual high. anything to get the ice to melt. f30 has a tsb out, noting for the f22/23 as I know of. not sure what the tsb says either. You can also take it to the dealer as Scadam mentioned, and apparently they have a software fix to keep from freezing the sensor.

One way to check it is to remove the mirror glass (by grabbing the outer edge with fingers and pulling it) and look at the back side of it - heated ones should have wires
Step 2: Remove/Unplug your seats from the car. Step 3: Once the seats are removed, nows the fun part! Dismantling your non-heated seat baffles. It's actually fairly easy start by taking off the backrest portion this is only held on by 2 T-40 bolts you must pull back the leather/leatherette to gain access to them.

The driver side heated seat isnt working on my X5, the lights for the switch never go on so think the element is ok, it started as a kind of intermittent problem. Found 1 fuse in the boot for the seats and its ok. Is there any other fuses or relays i should be looking for. Thanks and great forum everyone.
iTrader: ( 0) No dont think so. Unscrew the nut holding wiper arm on. Spray some WD40 around the circlip on spindle. Operate rear window wipe and see if spindle turns. Spray with more WD40 if need be. Upto you if you wanna strip in down further and clean/grease up after that. At least this will show you if it IS the problem first..
The easiest way is to remove the steering wheel and compare it to a car that has steering wheel heat. 2. Assuming your X7 is pre-wired for steering wheel heat (and you obtain a heated steering wheel) you will need to get your car coded to "turn on" the steering wheel heat feature in the X7's software. The above steps are somewhat simplified
DEFA and BMW Canada Preheater Systems. The $695 installed plug in unit charges battery, heats interior and heats probably coolant rather than oil ( oil would be better). Cheaper if car already has an installed DEFA charger ( I assume for battery). Norwegian DEFA has many diverse heating products. The video shows iPhone/android remote applications.
4 things i've noticed: - a little bit of mouse poo on into the engine bay. - a very light smell of coolant, only outside, also a little bit of steam from heater area in the front driver side, honestly I dunno is is due to the rain on the heater or if there's a real leak somewhere. - when heating is working on passenger side, if i turn the driver
I just replaced my coolant pump and thermostat in my E92 BMW 320 N43 engine. It is a 4 cylinder variant. The procedure is the same as the written guide but most of the work can be done from the engine bay as 4cyl variants engine block is shorter.Only the two E12 bolt of the pump had to be unscrew from the bottom of the car.
