Salomon Sense Ride 4 (RTR Review) Jeff V: The SR4 is an amazing shoe, another versatile all arounder that shares many of the same attributes, however, the UG is much more fun, more responsive, lighter and much more compliant and has better all day cushion. A case could be made though for the SR4 for the more rugged durability and $20 savings.
Salomon Sense Pro 4 (RTR Review) The Sense Pro 4 is lower stacked, more precise, and has a more stable platform. It is a decent uphill shoe and an absolute beast on the downhills. The Pulsar Trail Pro is lighter, more responsive, and has more cushioning. Even though the Trail Pro is lighter by over 1 oz, the Sense Pro 4 is one of those shoes
If you're on the hunt for a good crossover sneaker because you like to hop from the trail (especially dirt trails) to the road, the Salomon Sense Ride 4 is our preferred shoe. The flexible mesh upper is wider and more comfortable than we usually expect from Salomon — and more breathable too.
Sense Ride 5 ($140), Pulsar Trail 2 Pro ($160), Ultra Glide 2 ($150), S/Lab Pulsar 2 ($180) In the video, after testing on snow, pavement and indoor track with dirt to come when I can find it!, I compare Salomon's 2023 trail line up including the Sense Ride 5, Pulsar Trail 2 Pro , UltraGlide 2 , S/Lab Pulsar 2 .
Good looking shoe as a nice roller for any kind of fun out there … enjoy! I run the Salomon Sense pro 4 … they’re a bit lighter, more direct and maybe a bit narrower than the sense ride … for longer actions the sense ride would also be a possible shoe for me …. Hmmm 🤔
EDIT: The Cross Pro shares a midsole and outsole with the Wildcross, so it quite a lot heavier than the SLab Cross, but it’s still super rugged. The SLab Sense 8 SG is part of Salomon’s ‘Sense’ line (which also includes the Sense Ride, and Sense Pro), which are shoes specially designed for trail running, usually harder surfaces and
The Salomon Ultra /Pro is a shoe that excels during longer runs on fairly mellow, non-technical trails. While it provides a more cushioned ride than some other Salomon models like the S/Lab Sense 8 and Speedcross 5, the Ultra /Pro is not a soft, plush shoe.
🔹 SALOMON SENSE RIDE 4 ($120):
Both are great shoes, my foot shape and ride preferences just lead my to the G 270 for general use. Salomon Sense Pro 4 (RTR Review) Jeff V: The Sense Pro 4 is lighter, quicker and more agile, but the Peregrine 12 has better traction and protection, so is more suited to runs exceeding 2 hours and on even more technical terrain.
