Hi. Just bought my first Ford Focus, a 2006 1.6 TDCI, and I'm rather chuffed with it so far. However, not ever owned a Focus before I am a bit unsure what the actual drive noise is like. There are no unusual knocks or bangs, a bit of road noise when driving along, but nothing out of the ordinary. If i drive the car over 2k revs and then let it hang between 1k-2k revs without touching accerlator I get a tapping noise very faint any noise mkelbie. Budding Enthusiast. 81. Posted March 7, 2010. all the ford manuals, haynes and my personal experience and knowledge know for a fact the it takes 6 litres. should start engine. wait for oil light to go out. turn off engine. pull dipstick out and wipe clean. then dip the oil again and check.
